Icy Hudson

This is a view looking north over the Hudson River toward the Rip Van Winkle Bridge and Olana. The image was taken from photos released by the coast guard as they were doing flights up and down the frozen river to make sure the barges could make it through the ice. Crafted with multiple pieces of sculpted wood, assembled, attached and glued together for the final composition. Materials include mixed drawing media, wire, encaustic paint, paper collage and oil paint.
